Game Recommendations

If Larrabee responds to this post with more games she likes or genres she likes then we can probably come up with more reccomendations. All I know to go off of is Dragon Age, which is an action-RPG so I'll list a few of those:

Witcher 3:

A third person action adventure rpg where you kill monsters and meet a bunch of interesting characters, the writing is amazing and the graphics are reeeally good. The best part of this game is the writing, genuinley the best in any game I've played. Every side quest has an interesting story, there's even one where you have to get an old lady's pan for her. Best game ever /s (really good though, don't need to play the previous games)

Fallout: New Vegas:

Many peoples' favorite fallout game, and an action rpg with great writing, although i think that applies to every game on this short list. But this one isn't as fantasy as the others so it has that going for it. Also lots more shooting than either of the others.

Divinity Original sin 1/2:

I know these games were brought up in class alot, I recommend either if you have someone to play with, co-op games are great with good company.

Both games are very similar, so I'll go over some mechanics and mention differences as I go. (please forgive me if i get anything wrong, I actually haven't played either of these)

General Mechanics:

•The game is isometric and works similarly to a grid based system, if you've ever played fallout 1 or 2 it's very like them.

•The creators made sure you have a lot of freedom, so if genocide is your thing go for it.

There are different classes like mage, warrior, and priest (but not those exact ones) to choose from.

•Lots of interesting NPCs, you can even get a skill to talk to animals, most of which are surprisingly helpful

In DOS1 you play as two characters, or you play with a friend. In DOS2 you can have a party of up to four characters, or play with up to three friends. You can each explore independently so no need for arguments over who to fight and where to go

Combat:

Once in combat they behave as turn based srategy games where you control a selection of characters. Turn order is decided by a stat like initiative, similar to DnD. In fact, much of these games can be compared to DnD.

Again, like Fallout 1&2, you have a certain number of actions you can take per turn like moving or attacking.
